Creating an independent location for contemporary art - for the entrepreneur, patron and art collector Monika Schnetkamp, it constitutes vision and desire.

At Kaistrasse 10 in the Medienhafen, she found the right room in a 1950s warehouse and founded the Arthena Foundation private museum in 2008. The exhibition house of the art institution, which runs without an own collection and without commercial interest, goes under the name of Kai 10. At the exhibitions, world-renowned names stand alongside less well-established works, which Schnetkamp and her team discover time and again in the local lively art scene.
