zakk - Centre for Action, Culture and Communication

It is not only friends of electronic music and punk who know that Düsseldorf provides fertile ground for subcultural currents and alternative music styles. 

Even apart from Kraftwerk and the Toten Hosen, the local music scene has much to offer. The zakk cultural centre is a place where all ways come together. Since 1977, the Centre for Action, Culture and Communication organises concerts in an old factory building in the district of Flingern. The spectrum includes every kind of contemporary music. There are also cabaret, readings, parties, workshops, street parties and political discussions. In short: zakk is an institution in Düsseldorf's cultural life.
